PTA EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS - ROLES
The Executive Board shall be composed of the officers listed below to be elected at the first General Meeting of each academic year to serve for a term of one academic year.
President
- To preside over General Meetings and Executive Board Meetings.
- To lead the Executive Board in managing PTA affairs.
- To set up agendas.
- To call for meetings.
- To establish and guide the direction of the Parent-Teacher Association.
- To implement decisions and resolutions of PTA members.
- To monitor the progress of the execution of resolutions made.
- To act as a bridge between PTA Members and school administration for enhancing communication.
Vice President
- Perform all duties of the President in her/his absence or inability to act.
- To assist the President in preparing for meetings.
- To assist the President in implementing decisions and resolutions of PTA members.
- To assist the President in monitoring the progress of the execution of resolutions made.
Treasurer
- To handle financial matters.
- To keep an accounting of PTA funds through the management of the receipts and disbursements.
- To oversee expenses and budgets for all events for the entire academic school year.
- To compile financial reports and report the financial situation to the Executive Board and PTA members regularly.
Secretary
- To assist the President to draft and publish agendas.
- To draft meeting minutes and publish after approval.
- To maintain the records and documentation of meetings and activities.
- To maintain an up-to-date list of all PTA Members and Volunteers.
- To maintain a copy of current bylaws.
